BMGT10130 Mastering University Learning - a skill based approach

Mastering University Learning is aimed at students wishing to improve their academic and professional efficiencies and effectiveness through a range of learning and development strategies. The overall emphasis focuses on independent learning, communication, critical thinking, with a rigorous focus on individual development and refinement of these capacities throughout the module. Participants are challenged to develop their academic proficiences and their educational and professional development through a process focusing on personal responsibility for engagement with the theoretical basis of the module readings mirroring the underlying basis of all their university learning. This process enables students in turn to be action orientated in their development and personal achievement of the learning outcomes. Through this process they learn how to modify and enhance their attitudes, behaviours and cognitive skills required to be successful in University and later in the work environment.

Wouldn't recommend for a first year. Lecturer makes it was too hard for someone who has just started college. 2 individual assignments based off of readings. Really difficult and complex. Final assignment is a group project. Again really hard topic and you can't choose your group so you could be stuck with people who won't show up. Lecturer refuses to answer anyemails and is quite obnoxious.
