BMOL20060 Biomolecular Lab Skills 1

This module will introduce students to the fundamental practical skills needed to complete degree subjects in Biomolecular and Biomedical Sciences, and in related disciplines. Students will learn about basic liquid handling, calculations and data analysis, spectrophotometry, basic molecular biological techniques (DNA isolation, cloning), fractionation techniques, enzyme assays, and membrane transport assays. This is a practical-only module and students will be required to work on their own, in pairs, and in groups.

Great for improving basic lab skills, really helpful for the rest of your degree. Easy to do well in if you attend labs - make sure you understand experiments & calculations for exam
