This model investigates how the tools of economics have been used to understand the workings of democratic political systems. It examines:- What policies are adopted by politicians/parties- How much effort and/or money is expended by politicians to get elected - Why do people donate to politicians and whether this is beneficial or corrupting in the democratic processThese issues will be examined both theoretically and through an examination of the empirical evidence.

Ivan Pastine is something else, he explains things that are complicated in a way that can be easily understood. he is a disorganised marker and examiner. It was a mixed bag with result delays and a strange final exam but he marked very generously. If your interested in the topic its probably worth it.
