This module deals with the analysis and design of wireless systems, mainly wireless communication systems. The emphasis is on the design of transmitters (from modulated signal to antenna) and receivers (from antenna to demodulator), but the radio path and link budget will also be covered. A good knowledge of analogue electronic circuits and electromagnetic waves will be required. The radio-frequency (RF) blocks used in this module are covered at the circuit level in the module EEEN40150 RF Electronics. Modulation and coding are covered in the module EEEN40060 Digital Communications.
