LAW10440 Law in Europe

This module is designed as an Introduction to EU law and Institutions and is not offered to UCD Law students enrolled in a four year BCL or BBL programme . It is available to 'visiting' or international law students and UCD students enrolled in non-law programmes. r It examines the powers and roles of key EU institutions and pays close attention to the European Commission and the European Courts (Luxembourg). It examines important EU principles such as supremacy and direct effect. It analyses selected areas of EU Economic Law such as free movement of citizens/workers/ goods throughout the EU.

Relatively light workload, and the topic were mostly interesting enough. Group project, and short essay at end of year. I would say it was a fairly easy elective overall.
