PATH10020 Basic Principles of Cell Biolo

This is a foundation module forming part of the core curriculum for Stage 1 Medicine students, Biomedical Health and Life Science students and also Stage 1 Human Nutrition students. This module is designed to give students an overview of how cells work, exploring the different cellular organelles, the structure and function of nucleic acids and proteins, cell cycle and cell death, cell communication and signalling pathways relevant to disease. Basic principles of cellular immunology will also be introduced. Please note all students in the BSc Science program (year 2 and above) should contact the Module Co-ordinator before registering for this module as an elective.
